Southwark Forum – 14-3-12

Southwark Forum is the place for all local community and voluntary groups, as well as active citizens, to meet and discuss timely issues affecting the sector. The theme of his meeting is Localism.

The next Southwark Forum meeting will be at 10am – 12pm on Wednesday 14 March 2012 at Inspire, the Crypt at St.Peters, Liverpool Grove, SE17 2HH.

The keynote speaker is Edward Andersson of Involve. Involve perform research and deliver training to inspire citizens, communities and institutions to run and take part in high-quality public participation processes, consultations and community engagement. Edward will discuss with members the impact of and opportunities within the Localism Act for the voluntary and community sector.

The Forum is a great opportunity to meet CAS’ new Chief Executive, Gordon McCullough and hear a number of local updates such as the results of the Community Support Fund grant and the establishment of the Community Restoration Fund.
