The CAS Trustee Induction sessions are designed to give Trustees, new, experienced or prospective, an overview of everything involved with being a Trustee.
We aim to:
- To provide Trustees/ Management Committee members with an induction to their roles, responsibilities and boundaries as a Trustee.
- To equip Trustees/ Management Committee members with the skills and knowledge required to effectively carry out their role as a Trustee in the Voluntary and Community sector of Southwark.
How can you help to promote your organisation?
What does the world need to know about the work you do?
Overcome your nerves and shyness and learn how to make people want to listen to you.
Representing your Organisation will provide an overview of:
- Representing your organisation appropriately and effectively
- Responsibilities of Trustees in relation to public speaking
- How to get the most out of your presentation
- Public speaking skills and techniques
- Do’s and Dont’s
We will look at role play, games, voice work, body language and personal presentation, giving you a new perspective on how you can represent your group and its work in meetings and events.
This is a highly participatory training session so please wear something comfortable and come along ready to participate!
