New health centre to be named in memory of former MP Tessa Jowell

The CCG are delighted to announce that following a public vote, the new health centre in Dulwich will be called Tessa Jowell Health Centre.

Local people were asked to vote on a shortlist of six names, with the majority of voters expressing their preference for the health centre to be named in memory of the former MP for Dulwich, Tessa Jowell.

Tessa campaigned for a new health centre in Dulwich for more than 20 years and the decision of local people is a fitting tribute to her commitment to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for people in Dulwich and south Southwark.

The CCG team would like to thank everyone who took part by suggesting a name, voting on the final shortlist and or generally promoting the process.

The Tessa Jowell Health Centre in spring 2020 will open with an official opening ceremony to follow later in the year.

Thank you again for your contribution to this naming process. You can read more about this decision on the website.
