An Analysis of the Needs of the Ethiopian Community in Southwark

An Analysis of the Needs of the Ethiopian Community in Southwark
Community Southwark has been exploring the needs of seldom-heard communities in Southwark. Through this work, a partnership has developed with Ethio4All to create a community report.

This document presents one of the few opportunities to accurately explore their contemporary needs of the Ethiopian community in Southwark, and the community sourced solutions that they believe are needed to address current concerns. These include:

·         Faith & safe spaces;

·         Current or unmet needs;

·         Migration / Population disparities;

·         Solution-focused recommendations; and

·         Steps towards social action.

Please click here to access the report.

Through this work, Community Southwark and Ethio4All hope to demonstrate the unique views of members of the Ethiopian community in Southwark, their experiences, and how Community Southwark can provide directives towards positive changes in the local community.

A discussion event on the findings of the report will be taking place on 21ST September 2017.

Further details on the event can be found here.
