CHRP invites you to an important film screening and fundraising event, including a panel discussion. Food & refreshments will be provided.
About this Event
Campaign for Human Rights in the Philippines (CHRP) are showing two shorter documentaries - 'The Mortician of Manila' and 'The Nightcrawlers'. Both cover the Philippines President Duterte’s war on drugs but from different angles. This is to help further people's understanding of the human rights violations that keep occurring under Duterte's presidency. His ‘war on drugs’ continues to be nothing but a large-scale murdering enterprise for which the poor continue to pay the highest price,” says Nicholas Bequelin, Amnesty International’s Regional Director for East and Southeast Asia.
The cost of your ticket is for refreshments provided and all proceeds go towards CHRP's efforts to raise awareness and defend human rights in the Philippines.
