WONDER MATCH wants to encourage people to engage with science and technology through fun activities like workshops, after school club or arts based activities, visits to laboratories, festivals, storytelling sessions, exhibitions and lots more. The event hopes to kick start new partnerships between community organisations and scientists or engineers interested in exploring joint projects together.

If you are working with children, young people (or adults) in a disadvantaged community, and think planning some fun activities with a university scientist or engineer, might add to or fit with what you already do, then WONDER MATCH is for you. The event is a chance for community organisations and scientists or engineers to meet up, consider what you might do together, and apply for funding (up to £1,000) to work together to develop activities and ideas that will engage children, young people &/or adults in the wonder of science, space and technology.

How to join?

WONDER MATCH is funded by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) who want to support people to be inspired and learn about the world around them. They are really keen to reach audiences currently under served by their public programmes so if you are part of a charity, social enterprise or any kind of community organisation, then apply by 4 October, to come to this FREE event. Join the event here.
