YMHFA Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. The training provides a more in depth understanding of specific mental health issues faced by young people today, and is delivered in four manageable sections.
Mental Health Promotion offers Free Pilot Project using YMHFA.
Who can attend?
This course is open to Lambeth & Southwark front line staff or residents that would not normally get the opportunity to attend this 2 day training. This includes:-Volunteers, 16+ young people, Youth Peer Mentors, School Receptionists; Pastoral Carers, Classroom or Teaching Assistants; Saturday and Sunday school teachers, and small community groups/projects in contact with young people.
This is an opportunity to grow and share knowledge about mental health.
