Thank you to those who took time out to read the proposed changes to Southwark Voice and comment on them. You overwhelmingly supported the reforms and we are now moving to the next stage of the process.
This next stage involves seeking nominations from you, the members, to fill those representative roles set out in the right hand column of the table below. The seats allocated to the PLGs will be filled by the chair or representative of the group. The other formal networks, including the Southwark Planning Network, the Southwark Legal Advice Network and FEHRS will need to decide within their groups who will represent them. Representatives will serve for an intial period of 2 years.
If you think that you have the attributes to be able to listen to and represent the views of one of the themed areas in the right hand column, then we would love to hear from you. These posts are unpaid voluntary roles.
We have set up a Survey Monkey online process for candidates to complete and submit applications.
We will ask for some details about you, your work and other relevant interests and why you believe that you have the necessary experience, skills, knowledge and time to take on the role and make it a success. You will be able to apply for more than one representative role but will only to able to accept one. We want to ensure a wide spread of representation on the new Southwark Voice. You can access the nomination form here.
Nominations should be completed and returned by Thursday 20th July.
Once the applications have been received, we will issue a Doodle Poll with information on each of the candidates for members to vote for their preferred representative. The candidates with the most votes for each of the reserved seats will be offered the role. The results will be announced in early August 2017.
