Volunteer event roles at Camberwell Fair 2017

Camberwell Fair 2017 is a free-entry, one day music festival and market taking place on 22 July. Showcasing the cultural diversity of Camberwell, there will be a live music stage, community stage, dance workshops, games and a market with local businesses running pop-up stalls.

The 2017 edition is scheduled to take place in Camberwell Green Park, with capacity of 3000, with 7500 people expected over the course of the day.

Come and be a part of this amazing event – meet new friends, learn new skills and be a part of a major event in our vibrant community.

They are offering 3 levels of involvement:

1) Event planning. This is aimed at people seriously wanting to learn about what goes into the planning of a major event. Have one to one sessions with our small team. You can choose if you want to explore:
Stage Management / Event Marketing / Site Management / Markets / Business Engagement
2) On the day volunteering. Get involved on the day. Come and help out as a steward or assistant in an area of your choice. Hot food and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers, and a social before the event. Plus a free tshirt!!
3) Street Team/ Camberwell Fair ambassador. Help put flyers and posters up in the run up to the event and spread the word within your community.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the planning of a major community event, working closely with the small team of people who put it together, and having fun and making new friends in the process.
