Volunteering opportunity for the London Marathon

Volunteering opportunity for the London Marathon

RNLI are currently recruiting for volunteers for their two cheering stations and their post-race reception at the London Marathon on the 23 April.

Join the RNLI Post Race team

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support the RNLI runners from the finish line to their well-deserved post-race reception at Harris Westminster Sixth Form, where they’ll be treated to a warm welcome, a buffet, a shower and a sports massage. After 26.2 gruelling miles, they deserve it. Plus, you’ll get to meet and chat to some incredible people, all with amazing stories about why they’re running for the RNLI. No prior knowledge or experience of the RNLI is needed - you could be friends or family of one of the runners, an RNLI supporter or just want to join us for the experience.

Join the RNLI Cheering teams

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help cheer on our fantastic RNLI London Marathon runners – who are all raising money to save lives at sea. It really does make a huge difference – Mervyn Kinney, a member of the 2015 RNLI Running Crew, remembers the Cheer Station:
‘The team on the Embankment was overwhelming and so full of encouragement and just when I needed it.'

You’ll be positioned along the race route either in front of Tower Lifeboat Station or Canary Wharf, and will be treated not only to the electric atmosphere of the London Marathon, but a great view of London and the Thames.

If you're interested download and read the cheering stations role details and the post-race reception role details.
