Young South West is a not for profit organisation. They work with young people all over the South of England and in partnership with professional rugby clubs including Exeter Chiefs, Gloucester Rugby and London Scottish, providing inspiring and engaging learning and development interventions.
They have developed a programme of learning specifically for 16-18 year old young people who are not in employment or training. The 120 hour programme is made up of three courses: ‘The Principles and Preparations for Coaching Sport (QCF), Community Sports Leadership Award Level 2 and Employability Skills’ and will be run in the Richmond area.
Young South West have access to limited funding which fully covers the cost of the training, they are in the process of engaging with young people who are NEET and would benefit from the programme.
Joe is a NEET who has engaged in the programme and within his first week has seen the benefit of the programme. Read his story here.
