PLUS is a south east London based charity providing residential, respite, leisure and employment services for adults with learning disabilities. PLUS supports people with learning disabilities going through transitions and changes in their lives. This includes young people leaving home, or moving into supported living from residential schools, and we offer pre-independence training or support to achieve full independence. We are members of the palliative care network for people with learning disabilities and support people to remain in their own homes with a high quality of life until the end of their life. Through our provision of interim placements to people whose family situation may be in crisis we also offer support in transition to people of all ages who are facing changes.
Our Mission PLUS recognises and celebrates the uniqueness of every individual with a learning disability. We are committed to enabling personal growth now and for the future, giving each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.
We aim to provide standards of service and support in assisted living which we would choose for ourselves or those close to us. Our mission is guided by a Shadow Board composed of adults with learning disabilities who use our services.
The Shadow Board is central to many of the innovations and aspirations PLUS develops. We work to accreditations with the Care Quality Commission, Investors in People and Positive about Disability.
We are approved providers for Borough Councils in Southwark, Lewisham, Croydon and Bromley.
We are working with Spice Time Credits (Lewisham), in line with our commitment to building relationships with complementary local organisations.
PLUS services include registered care, supported living, residential respite care, community based respite, family support, outreach, training and employment for people with learning disabilities.
