The Trustee Project is a five year project generously supported by the Big Lottery Fund.
The BASIS project is aiming at providing trustees of Southwark voluntary organisations with the skills, training and support they need to run the organisation effectively. This includes:
- Bi-monthly email newsletter covering major developments in governance and new resources. This information is an important way for trustees to keep up-to-date and stay effective in their role. The next trustee bulletin will be published in May and will be about ICT and your organisation. If you would like to be added to CAS trustee mailing list, please contact sustainability@casouthwark.org.uk
- Quarterly networking events, featuring guest speakers and the opportunity to meet other Southwark trustees to share experiences, learn from peers, and discuss issues of concern to trustees. Our next trustee networking event will be held in June about Equality and Diversity. You can find onMarch Trustee bulletin on Understanding the financial Environment on the left handside of this page.
- Regular training on the key skills of trusteeship, arranged at times to suit your schedule. Upcoming trustee training: 21 May, Trustee training – chairing meetings, 18 June trustee training – leadership, vision and voice. For more information, please contact Deborah@casouthwark.org.uk or go on our event page.
- one-to-one support with governance issues including skills audits, organisational health checks, and work to support collaboration. If you are interested in receiving support from our Sustainability Officers, please contact sustainability@casouthwark.org.uk.
- Resources that are relevant for trustees developped by us or by others. See on the left handside of this page resources about Sustainability, Collaboration and more to come!
